What will you do as a Compliance Manager?
You will assist and support clients in meeting regulatory requirements focusing mainly on AML / CFT compliance. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the selected candidate will form part of the Compliance team focusing mainly on the provision of advisory services to clients.
Acting as the Compliance Relationship Manager for clients by providing advisory services focusing on AML / CFT compliance in particular:
Carrying out gap analysis and on-site AML / CFT process reviews;
Reviewing and drafting of policies and procedures;
Carrying out AML / CFT business risk assessments for clients;
Creating and delivering AML / CFT training to clients and their staff;
Building positive relationship with clients’ MLROs and Compliance Officer;
Keeping abreast with all legislative, regulatory and corporate governance developments or changes that might affect clients;
Assisting in the development and management of in-house IT solutions to support monitoring and reporting for AML / CFT purposes.
What do you know that makes you a great Compliance Manager?
A University degree or equivalent qualification in a related area;
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a managerial ML / CFT role;
Well versed with regulations governing the prevention of money laundering and funding of terrorism in Malta, the FIAU implementing procedures, the relevant EU legislation and international standards;
High professional ethical standards;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Good organisational skills and ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
